The Company

Affiliated Financial Partners, LLC ("AFP") is a Connecticut limited liability company formed in July 2003. Our founding member is Michael L. Millman, a 35-year veteran of the life insurance industry.

AFP is 100% owned by its producer affiliates. Affiliates join by contract rather than through acquisition, and thus retain their status and identity as independent businesses. Each new affiliate has an opportunity for growth participation through investment and outstanding production.

Our Mission

AFP's mission is to help our affiliates—independent producers who work with high net worth clients and major corporations—achieve peak performance. By pooling our collective intellectual and business capital, AFP provides a platform to enhance producer efficiency, market effectiveness, and revenue.

Our semi-annual study groups bring together top minds from the insurance industry and various professions to discuss issues that affect underwriters, our affiliates, and their clients.

Furthermore, AFP offers access to exclusive products and additional revenue opportunities that would not be available to most independent producers.

Our Affiliates

Our affiliates are second to none. Of approximately 230,000 licensed life insurance producers, about 13,882 in the US belong to the Million Dollar Roundtable ("MDRT"), having achieved the organization's annual production standards. Worldwide, there are currently only about 1,765 members of the Top of the Table, a group of producers, most of them in the United States, who produce at least 600% of the annual standard for MDRT status. All AFP members perform at this level or better.

Our Core Carriers

AFP has partnered with selected life insurance providers including AIG American General, Columbus Life Insurance Company, The Hartford, John Hancock Life Insurance Company, Lincoln Financial Group, MassMutual Financial Group, and National Life Insurance Company. These core carriers welcome the opportunity to work closely with AFP affiliates, who bring innovative solutions to the table and expand the market for their most advanced insurance products.
